Kodu’s Story

Sixty year old named Kodu lives with his wife in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. He  is a daily wage worker. About two years ago, Kodu developed eye health issues. He had blurred vision and with time it was getting difficult for him to cope with it.

Kodu’s neighbour advised him to visit SNC City vision centre in Katni and get his eyes examined. The centre is supported under Sightsavers’ Rural Eye Health Programme. After the screening at the centre, it was found that Kodu had cataract. He was referred to the base hospital at Chitrakoot for surgery.

After the surgery, along with vision, Kodu has regained his confidence in life. He is pleased to know that he would not be dependent on anyone else anymore.
