June 2020

New Delhi, June 08, 2020

Sightsavers India also known as Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind has been once more certified as Great Place to Work-Certified™ from June 2020 until May 2021. The certification was awarded under the category ‘Non-profit and Charity Organizations’. Great Place to Work® Institute certification is considered as the gold standard for defining great workplaces across business, academia and government organizations. It reflects a high-performance and high-trust culture within the organisation.

This is the second consecutive year in which Sightsavers India has been awarded the certificate. The organisation has performed even better this year on most parameters that the certification process entails. Sightsavers surpassed its own culture assessment result on accounts of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

RN Mohanty, CEO Sightsavers India said, “Being awarded the Great Place To Work certificate, two times in a row, not only gives us immense satisfaction but also, and perhaps more significantly, acts as a motivation booster for all of us at Sightsavers India. As an organisation working for the prevention of avoidable blindness and for ensuring that people with disabilities lead a respectable life, this certification process helps us look inwards, within our own employee community. This certificate assures us that the respect and dignity which we seek to bring in the life of those outside the organisation exists within our own group of employees.”
